Transcendence by KOHLER WasteLAB x Nada Debs bespoke tiles marry a sustainable medium with artist Nada Debs’ life-long passion and transformative, multi-disciplinary art. An artistic expression that references the simple beauty of sweeping archways and the timelessness of repetition, the collection is made from nearly 100 percent recycled waste materials. Handcrafted by KOHLER WasteLAB artisans who turn the company’s manufacturing waste streams and pottery scrap into a useable base to create the ecologically thoughtful tiles.
Crafted in Italy, the Oriana collection is based upon the engravings by heralded Florence-born designer and experimental artist, Ducco Maria Gambia. Oriana is a finely textured porcelain that has the appearance of hand-troweled plaster, the two-way surface pattern lending a graphic component and contrast for subtle, compelling visual tension.
American artisan Andy Fleishman’s fourth exclusive collection with Ann Sacks is a stunning update to traditional terrazzo. This collection incorporates brass and mother-of-pearl as part of its starry surface design, defining it as a statement-making terrazzo option for any interior space.
Ann Sacks’ Areva collection employs two distinctive marbles in two patterns in both singular shades and a combination of marbles creatively laid-up to achieve an illusionary ombre effect. The Plank pattern is achieved by joining small rectangles together to form its length, while the mosaic is a complementing mix of small marble squares. The stones’ natural shade variation and veining adds to each pattern’s exceptional surface movement and dimensional depth.
Calacatta Verde is a rarified stone rich in character and presence. The exquisite marble features an explosion of dramatic veining that carries across the cream background in a serendipitous dance of colors that range from seafoam to moss with dapples of deep forest green.
An organic feast for the senses, the Pala collection is an eclectic mix of stones in four distinctive designs. Its classic Italian marble and travertine stone feature a varying range of veining, mineral colorations and other demarcations.
Verde Tia is a dimensional, honed marble in shades of jade to forest green, the shifting, varied field interrupted by creamy white veining and grey to black mottling. Unlike most similar colored marbles that run toward blue, Verde Tia features golden undertones giving the stone warmth and elegance, making it a rare find.
Terossa is a terra cotta tile collection decoratively inlaid with waterjet cut pieces of marble or limestone. The handcrafted designs also feature an antiqued finish that heightens the stones’ warm colorations producing a tile that resonates with Old World character. Exclusive to Ann Sacks, Terossa is offered in four distinctive designs and in a variety of stone configurations.
