ANN SACKS® Context Unveils New Colors To Complement The Collection's Handcrafted Designs

PORTLAND, Ore. (January 10, 2017) – ANN SACKS brings four new heathered colors to the popular Context collection, its multi-dimensional glaze effect creating exceptional movement and subtle shimmer that illuminates with a shifting of color as reflective light move across the tile face. Joining the Context palette are: Frost, a snowy white with a light grey ashen finish; Spa, an icy blue with gradients of cornflower blue; Mink, a cool grey with lighter grey undertones; and Jasper, a vivid peacock of shifting colors from deep marine blue to aqua green.

ANN SACKS Context is handcrafted by the artisans of Tijimi, Japan, a city that resides on the Toki River in the Gifu Prefecture, and renowned for its expertise in the art of ceramics. From extraordinary table top designs to the primary material used for cladding its building exteriors, Tajimi has held true to the fine ceramic techniques that date back over 400 years. ANN SACKS brought this fine ceramic expertise into its showroom fold, with the original designs offered in 1.75”x5.5” and 1.75”x11” rectangular field tiles, netted pillowed mosaic, offset mosaic and stacked mosaic, and bullnose, corner, cove and quarter round trim. The new colors are currently available in 1.75”x5.5” and 1.75”x11” rectangular field tiles, netted pillowed mosaic, bullnose and quarter round. Competitively priced and made from 58.6 percent pre-consumer recycled content, its strength and durable nature makes Context is an outstanding choice for many interior and exterior applications.

The four new colors join the existing palette of Gloss White, Matte White, and Metallic Black, the multi-layered glazes imparting extraordinary, glossy depth. Due to its composition, there will be slight variations within the finish adding to its visual presentation. Suitable for all wall applications and dry, light traffic floors, the mosaics are also a perfect choice for showers and other wet areas that do require submerging of the tiles. Context can also stand up to high temperatures making it perfect for fireplaces and behind ranges as well as the outdoors subject to climate and method of installation.
