Surround Yourself in the Silvered Beauty of ANN SACKS'® Versailles Mesh

Joining the products presented by ANN SACKS, a premier manufacturer and distributor of tile and stone, at the 2013 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show in New Orleans is Versailles Mesh. The tile composition resembles aged mirror with its mottling and dramatic colorations, yet weaves in a textural element for a modern edge to the design.

Versailles Mesh was designed to complement the ANN SACKS Versailles tile and is handcrafted in the United States. The medium is security glass, which imbeds thin steel wiring into the glass field for strength; when used in this application, the wiring adds dimensional, geometric relief. The glass is hand-silvered by gifted artisans employing 18th century mirror-making techniques, then hand-sanded to bring out its natural imperfections, and finally hand-cut in age-old craft. The result is a tile that imparts an intricate interplay of extreme variation – the silvering moving from light to dark, its surface broken by random streaking and spotting like that of aged mirror, but modernized with the graphic component of the security glass.

Suitable for all vertical, dry applications, Versailles Mesh is offered in four colorways: Silver Flake, Rose Butter, Dark Bronze, and Mercury. The tiles are available in 6”x6”, 6”x12”, 6”x24”, 12”x12”, 12”x24”, and 24”x24” fields, with custom sizes also available. Versailles Mesh can be used alone or paired with ANN SACKS Versailles mirrored tile to create lively juxtaposition between the soft reflective coloration of Versailles and the distressed silvering of Versailles Mesh.
