Graphic new designs broaden ANN SACKS® successful Koi collection

PORTLAND, Ore. (May 1, 2009) – Ann Sacks, a premier manufacturer and distributor of tile, stone and plumbing products, debuted new Koi designs at the 2009 Kitchen/Bath Industry Show in Atlanta. Introduced in 2007, the current line is complemented by two graphic tiles: Asaori and Shibo. The designs reflect the same distinctly modern sensibility and bold design of the earlier plain field tiles and the rich, lustrous surface and depth achieved through a finishing process employing traditional Japanese glazes.
  • Asaori, features a unique, 3-D stepped block pattern, its surface resembling the textural variations of woven burlap. Ideal for dramatic wall installations, Asaori is offered in a 5¾x5¾ square, and three different styles, which are packaged and sold together as one unit to help create a one-of-a-kind design statement.   The tiles are available in Sharkskin, but are also offered in the colors of Iron Rod, Brick, Mint, Tea Leaf and Mustard by special order.
  • Shibo, is accentuated with a tone-on tone random linear striate, its subtle qualities perfect for full room installations, with an understated presence to create a stunning backdrop without overwhelming the décor. The tile is offered in a 5-¾x19-¾ length and offered in the colors of Sharkskin, Iron Rod and Brick and can be special ordered in Tea Leaf, Mint and Mustard.

“The new Koi Shibo and Asaori designs have wonderful textural qualities that are enhanced by the application of the glazes creating a two-toned effect when it pools over the relief,” said Dian Smith, president, ANN SACKS Tile and Stone, Inc. It not only intensifies its textured appearance, but also heightens the depth and movement within the tile.”

Suitable for all residential and commercial vertical wall applications, the Koi Collection can be used in interior installations and is frost proof allowing it to work for certain exterior installations subject to moderate climate and method of installation.
