Presenting ANN SACKS® accessories for the bath
PORTLAND, Ore. (May 1, 2009) – ANN SACKS expands into a new facet of bath design with the introduction of a comprehensive accessories program, ANN SACKS Accessories for the Bath. Making its debut at the 2009 Kitchen/Bath Industry Show in Atlanta, ANN SACKS, a premier manufacturer and distributor of tile, stone and plumbing products, unveiled seven new collections that incorporate an array of decorative components, including trays, tissue covers, waste baskets, soap dishes or pumps, vases, drinking glasses, and canisters.
Individual and unique, the collections are characterized through selection of materials and unsurpassed craftsmanship, incorporating many of the natural elements found in ANN SACKS tile and stone offerings. ANN SACKS collaborated with independent artists and its in-house design team to create the inspired series establishing a depth of line to speak to traditional and contemporary settings. “As the development of this new category was taking shape, we kept at the forefront our desire to create collections that not only complement and enhance the ANN SACKS tile, stone and plumbing lines but provide consumers with a diverse and comprehensive range of collections to elevate bathroom décor,” explained Dian Smith, president, ANN SACKS Tile and Stone, Inc.
The collections are exclusive to ANN SACKS and employ a range of natural materials, including hand-blown glass, 24 karat gold leaf, recycled bronze, walnut veneer, wenge wood, shagreen, marble, and ceramic. “Our goal was to create product lines that stood apart from what is currently available in the marketplace,” continued Smith. “We looked at every facet of this category to ensure that it represented ANN SACKS effectively and engaged our clientele on a variety of levels.”
Suitable for all bath environments, Ann Sacks Accessories for the Bath currently offers the following lines with plans to expand the series again later in 2009:
- Heath for Ann Sacks Crafted in San Francisco, Heath for Ann Sacks is made from richly figured birdseye maple and a choice of either Ivory or Black ceramic. The collection features a tray, tissue cover, waste basket, soap dish, two canisters, toothbrush holder, and drinking cup.
- Park Stone: Two hand-polished marbles were selected for the Park Stone collection, Athens Silver Créme, a layered stone in crème and silver, and Cararra, a pure white marble mottled in soft black. The collection features a tray, tissue cover, waste basket, soap dish, and three canister set.
- Davlin Glass: Renowned Boston artisan, Tony Davlin, created the Davlin Glass collection to complement his ANN SACKS T. Davlin glass tile program. The collection is comprised of a tray and soap dish, which achieves its luster by pressing 24 karat rose-colored gold leaf between two pieces of art glass, and waste basket, vase, and cup, hand-blown from crystal clear glass fused with 24 karat rose-colored gold leaf. ANN SACKS also offers Davlin Glass in gold, bronze, silver and platinum leaf by special order.
- Beaumont Buntal: Marrying natural buntal with wenge wood, the sophisticated, pared down Beaumont Buntal designs have a rustic appeal and understated charm. The collection features a tray, tissue cover, waste basket, soap pump, and canister.
- Fairchild Pewter: Handcrafted by Italian artisans, Fairchild Pewter is brilliantly polished for eye-catching appeal, the sleek forms interrupted by a series of etched rings creating visual interest. The collection features a tray, tissue cover, waste basket, soap pump, soap dish, drinking glass, two vases, and a canister.
- Irvington Shagreen: The Irvington Shagreen collection is a series of straightforward graphic forms. The pieces are finished in creamy mottled shagreen and edged in bone for startling contrast. The collection features a tray, tissue cover, waste basket, and canister.
- Vista Bronze: The Vista Bronze collection was designed to complement ANN SACKS Antiquity Bronze metal tile program. Hand poured and fired from recycled bronze then richly inlaid in figured walnut veneer, the Vista Bronze collection features a tray, tissue cover, waste basket, soap dish, vase and a canister.
