These tiles are made from a simple mixture of sand, gravel and cement. This all-natural mixture, 80% of which is extracted within 500 miles of their manufacturing site in Durham, NC, has no chemical additives. Requiring no kiln firing, the mixture is poured into moulds and air cured. In addition to the low energy consumption during production, the tiles mimic the energy efficiency of all-concrete flooring, enhancing radiant heat performance by absorbing and slow releasing the heat. This is why Andy Fleishman tiles are ideal for areas with an interior moisture load.
